Could we design LISMONIRS?
With this question, the platform It’s all, oh so souvenir to me! for its 10+1 years approached 7 creatives to explore the word lismonir, which came up between making fun and being serious as the opposite of a Souvenir, using the word “lismono” (=greek for forgetting / letting go). Aiming to create new momentum and thoughts for the platform’s next steps, lismonir is explored as whether it is an attainable notion, what it might entail, what form it takes, how it materialises and with what means. With a strong element of interaction, experimentation and dialogue, the exhibition Lismonir does not seek to redefine the concept of souvenir, but to focus on the data that lie before us and to interpret them freely, in various ways while creating additional questions. Thus opening a dialogue that can not be restricted to a right or wrong!
