HEBOCON ATHENS

Hebocon is a robot-sumo competition for the technically ungifted which started in Japan in 2014. Participants create their own low-tech crappy robot and are part of the most unexpected tournament, where everyone is a winner.

The tournament has taken place at the Onassis Cultural Centre, Athens Science Festival, AKTO College of Art & Design and Athens Mini Maker Faire, gaining fans and loyal attendants. Furthermore, Hebocon Athens has collaborated with news media Greecejapan.com to participate in the Hebocon World Championship in Tokyo (video). Along with an MC and a video crew, Hebocon Athens has been very popular and has been featured in greek online, print and TV media.
