NEW YEARS CARD

Each year, the Cultural Assosiation of Metsovo in Athens share their wishes with their members and friends for the new year ahead. The assosiation's purpose is to aid the village of Metsovo when possible and promote its cultural herritage.

The design of the card carrying the wishes of fortune and prosperity references traditions, folk themes and patterns, local history as well as current issues in the village.

2014 edition

This years card follows the rules of a design for the loom and illustrates an unusual for traditional weaving illustration, highlighting the fact that tradition can be embellished, rather than just sustained.
